Who we are
Stem Uprising Corporation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Tax-Exempt Organization that is based in the State of New York.
We were established specifically with a vision to assist poorer communities in Developing Contries to achieve and sustain the best possible access to basic health care. In our first initiative, we partnered with The National Blood Transfusion Service of Jamaica and had the first Blood Drive in the history of the Lionel Town Hospital in Clarendon Jamaica. Since then we have been successfully partnering with Percy Junior Hospital in Manchester, Lionel Town Hospital in Clarendon and The National Blood Transfusion Services of Jamaica, to deliver increased units of blood to its blood bank, through multiple blood drives annually.
Our Founding Members have been haunted for many years by their memories of the inadequate health service provided to the citizens of Clarendon in Jamaica. The absence of quality medical care is compounded by the lack of basic necessities such as beds, bed pans, blood plasma, EKG machines, or even proper sterilization equipment.
These are only a few of the needs that Stem Uprising Corporation has been addressing, and our mission is to assist the local hospitals and families in countries like Jamaica, to provide these basic medical care.
We have been greatly encouraged by the overwhelming appreciative response of the hospitals and the communities that we serve. Our mission has since been broadened to include the provision of back-to-school supplies in answer to the community’s appeal for this type of assistance, especially during the transition to virtual classroom as a result of Covid.
Stem Uprising’s ongoing projects now include multiple blood drives annually at rural hospitals, annual back-to school events, medical equipment donations to rural hospitals, and ongoing donations of indigent care packages and durable medical equipment to shut-Ins and seniors.
