The Coronavirus Pandemic has had an immense impact on the lives of many Jamaicans. In the area of public health; a lack of proper equipment and life- saving machines in some public hospitals created a major disadvantage, especially to those citizens in poor, rural communities.
Stem Uprising Corp is a non profit organization located in Long Island, New York, but deeply connected to the Island of Jamaica, as the birth place of our Founder and CEO. The team saw it fit to provide much needed assistance to Jamaica during this pandemic. The team donated a High Flow an Machine to two major hospitals in rural Jamaica. Each machine is valued approximately $1.4 Million JMD.
The Percy Junor Hospital and Lionel Town Hospital were the grateful recipients of these machines. Each hospital serves a network of farming communities in the rural parishes that are responsible for keeping the urban centers supplied with ground provisions, fruits, and vegetables.
The machines have been saving many, and in so doing has added to the economic stability of those communities. It is a pleasure for us to be able to make such a difference in the lives of many.
